ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM CAREER
Whatever career path you decide to take in life is all up to you. With both hands on the wheel and a good career plan by your side, you can go anywhere you want when it comes to your career and take whatever route you map out to get there.

Making a career change can be a scary step. But when you are unhappy with what you are doing, why shouldn’t you go after your dreams and take a stab at something that you feel will make you happy?

The key is to be confident about what you want to do and then just go for it! If you need to take some classes to work where you want to work, then do it. It doesn’t matter how old you are. You can make a career change anytime and under any circumstances. It will take commitment and a little hard work, but it can be done.

Regard the journey ahead as an exciting new endeavor. If you have been a passenger up to this point in your life, it doesn’t have to be that way. You can take control and lead your life in the direction you want it to go.

What to know about the soccer supporters of East Africa

Soccer is a very interesting entertainment which is trying take some good time of youth, married people and even children watching but they do not even know how to kick the ball.

Today people especially around East Africa are grate supporters of premier league and have even gone a head to be attached to become supporters for specific teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool among other many teams. People become very strong supporters to the specific football club, which is not bad to do but need to have some limit for such behaviors because the players you like and can even die for when they leave the team do not know you and never share with you the salaries every month.

Many accidents have occurred due to the effects of some drivers over speeding such that they can arrive fast wherever they are going in order to watch Arsenal Vs Manchester United  match which may never earn them a living.

Let us now come to betting project that some people are earning a living on the expense of other ignorant people. Some students have been given money by their parents to go and pay school fees and some students have decided to use it bet and end up losing it all, At the end of the semester students are chased away for not clearing the fees and warning notice sent to parents for clearing their school dues... some thing must be worked on in the regulation of betting.

Did You Know Yoga Has This Awesome Benefit?

You already know  yoga makes you feel all kinds of Om-azing, but new research in the Journal of Clinical Oncology gives scientific evidence that it can significantly help reduce fatigue and inflammation, particularly in
breast cancer survivors.

Researchers  have it that  breast cancer survivors to either a twice-weekly 90-minute hatha yoga program or a control group (who didn’t do any yoga) and found that yoga practitioners had significantly less fatigue, more vitality, and lower blood markers of inflammation after three months than did control group members.

“We wanted to look at breast cancer survivors because fatigue is an important problem for them post treatment, as is cardie-respiratory fitness. Data from other labs suggest that 30 to 40 percent of breast cancer survivors may experience significant levels of fatigue that interfere with daily life in some cases several years post treatment,” lead author Janice K. Kiecolt-Glaser, Ph.D., told SELF.

“And women who have undergone chemotherapy have cardie-respiratory fitness that is 30 percent lower than sedentary peers.”
Kiecolt-Glaser and her colleagues selected hatha yoga, a more gentle, pose-based form of yoga, because it’s restorative and easily adaptable for anyone with physical limitations.

So why is this all a big deal?  ”

 What they see and hear
in life the desire to feel and be accepted may blind us and end up being the death of us. There are people who are so lost in their distorted convictions and will never give a thought about how you feel or what you need. Lets stop trying to prove them right or wrong as any attempt to do this just gives them more power over us. If you have dream and you decide to actually work on it, not everyone is going to understand what it is you believe in, some of the people who you thought would have your back may turn on you but remember if they do this they were never genuine friends as genuine friends are motivated by your success and help you rise.Dreams have no witnesses and you alone know what you want so work for it and let the non believers watch you achieve everything they thought you couldn't do. I have come to accept the bitter truth that people will always see what they want to see and hear what they want to hear and any attempt to try and challenge their convictions is merely a waste of your precious time. just like Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers simply because they did not like the dream that Joseph had you realize that only you can see it for you . Enjoy your valentines lovely people.

Love

I can safely say it is one of the most used words not just in English but in all languages. How did you describe it? Is it just a feeling you have about people or is it a choice you consciously make? What is it that makes people blind or not aware of the faults of those they love? Why do we accept the very worst from them and give excuses for their behaviour? I am not able to answer this nor can I find a logical explanation. Well, in the spirit of love, HAPPY VALENTINE's Day......well that is for tomorrow.
But one thing is for sure, no one can live without a form of love, because we all crave acceptance.
Have a lovely day. Paint the town red and enjoy the wining and dining and spare some for the remaining days of the year.

SWEET & SOUR EFFECT OF AFRICA’S BLACK GOLD

The plummeting of global crude prices is generating ripple effects worldwide. While oil exporters are reeling from plunging revenues, oil importers are bracing for cheaper oil and the potential economic stimulus. Global economic relations may also witness profound shifts as the United States overtakes Saudi Arabia as the world's largest oil producer. Given the concentration of oil and other natural resources in Africa, it is worth examining how falling oil prices will affect the continent's economic transformation aspirations.

Much depends on the length and severity of the oil crunch. Persistent low prices will deplete foreign reserves, strain budgets, trigger cuts in social spending and other austerity measures and ensnare oil producers in new debt. Forecasts have been indecisive on the medium to long term trajectory of oil prices ranging from $43 per barrel in the first half of 2015 to $95 by year's end.

African oil producers will be hard hit with varying severity. Veteran exporters like Angola, DRC, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria and South Sudan will be affected as they all depend on oil rents for 50 to 70 percent of their governments' revenues and more than 90 percent of export earnings. Already, Nigeria is reeling from the consequences.

The war-torn South Sudan currently receives the lowest oil price in the world, $20 to $25, due to the shocks, the low quality of its oil and the payments for using of the pipeline traversing the Sudan. Declining oil revenues and output will threaten its already precarious attempts at post-conflict nation-building.

The experience for oil-importing African countries will be different. According to IMF projections, importers will experience increase in real income on consumption and decrease in the cost of production of final goods, and consequently, on profit and investment.

Countries like Malawi which depend on foreign aid for more than a third of government revenue will have greater fiscal space, while Ethiopia's emerging manufacturing industry could be boosted from savings on oil imports.

As African countries respond differently to the oil crunch, it is clear that resource endowments and the presence of industrial policies by themselves are grossly insufficient without practical measures to ensure that the revenues count and the sustained commitment to generate shared prosperity for citizens.

The resilience of counter-cyclical safeguards to buffer the impact of sudden price swings on budgets and development spending will be tested. How African countries weather this storm will determine whether lessons have been learnt or whether the third oil boom is yet another missed opportunity.

MAY I PLEASE HAVE MY ICE CREAM IN PEACE

Lupita Nyong’o has been a name on everyone’s lips ever since her role in 12 years a slave, Kenyans having pride in her, black appreciated and celebrated as beautiful. Amidst all those celebrations, the movie reminded us of the abolished slave trade where millions of black slaves labored under harsh conditions under their slave masters and song became one of the ways that they would use to numb the pain of their oppression, the harmonies uniting them in their pain.
Work songs were also common in African cultures the only difference being, the songs were to make work light or to help in coordination where work required more hands. One key difference being that back here, we were not enslaved and needed the songs to make working under the scorching sun a bit bearable.
Fast forward to 2015 and I finally decide to go check out the new ice cream joint in Westlands that everyone keeps talking about. It’s a lazy Sunday afternoon and my intention is to sample pizza from their sister pizza joint as well.  As I walking in, I’m secretly hoping that the queues will not be Kenyanly long. You see, Kenyans and especially the middle class have this habit of thronging everything during the launch days. I remember the crazy queues when another American imported franchise was launching at the junction. Kenyans queued for hours on end just to have a taste of how kenchic chicken tastes like when deep-fried with a touch of the colonel’s secret spices.
As the well-dressed gentleman opened the door  and welcomed me to the ice cream joint, I breathed a sigh of relief seeing the queue was at least manageable and the ordering process pretty straight forward. You choose the ice cream flavor that you want then the magic begins when they mix in the different flavors with your choice of condiments giving you an amalgamation of flavors intent on stimulating all your taste buds. Think of any flavor; they had it! I mean they even had ice cream made out of champagne!! My mind was busy trying to do all the computations of all the flavors that might go well together, and the little tasting spoons weren’t easing my case. I got even more confused when I realized they even serve cake batter! How ingenious! My mind immediately racing to my younger days.  One of the pleasures of growing up then was getting to glean and clean the mixing bowl of the cake batter. It wasn’t an easy find as it depended on the mom’s mood, how clean your record was and just good ol’ timing. You might have done all your chores and even those she hadn’t thought of but by the time you get to the kitchen, the bowl was already in the sink filling with water. Yet here I was presented with the opportunity to have all the cake batter I could take without having to jump through any hoops and as if that was not enough, mix it with any ice-cream flavor of my choice.
I was beginning to have a headache trying to figure out what flavor will go well with what so I just settled for their signature creations that had a little blend of sugar and everything nice. All I needed was some spice and chemical x to release the power puff girl in me.
As I sat down to devour my ice cream, the inevitable happened. Just as I had taken my first spoonful, my taste buds dancing in excitement, my eyes closed to block out any distraction, the singing began. I opened my eyes, looked around in shock at first on what was happening and there they were, the staff that pleasantly served me a few minutes ago were all singing at the top of their lungs as they worked.
My mind races a lot and I cannot tell you what other people thought of the singing gesture but it dint go down well with me. All I saw is an American imported company that had its workers sing as they worked and all I could see was lupita. Not in her glamorous wear but in the movie working out in the cotton fields.
A marketing stunt may work in one market and completely fail in another. The singing may have worked for them in their original market but in Africa, I feel like the probability of seeing it from another unintended angle is very high.
Sporadic music works when timed well and when the audience can immediately relate to it.  When the staff at woolworths South Africa decided to do a tribute song to Mandela in their store ( find link here), it was and is still successful with over 4 million youtube hits . Reason; the music, the history and the mood were all in harmony.
Let’s give credit where it’s due though, the ice cream was really good and it still sits on top of my favourites, but may I please have my ice cream in peace without the singing!
