THE DYING MOTHER NATURE

Around the globe, seasons are shifting, temperatures are climbing and sea levels are rising. Meanwhile, our planet must still supply us and all living things with air, water, food and safe places to live. If we don't act now, climate change will rapidly alter the lands and waters we all depend upon for survival, leaving our children and grandchildren with a very different world. The planet is warming, from North Pole to South Pole, and everywhere in between. Globally, the mercury is already up more than 1 degree Fahrenheit (0.8 degree Celsius), and even more in sensitive polar region. The effects of rising temperatures aren’t waiting for some far-flung future, they’re happening right now. Signs are appearing all over, and some of them are surprising. The heat is not only melting glaciers and sea ice; it’s also shifting precipitation patterns and setting animals on the move.

Effects of global warming include; Hurricanes and other storms are likely to become stronger; Species that depend on one another may become out of sync. For example, plants could bloom earlier than their pollinating insects become active; Floods and droughts will become more common; Less fresh water will be available; Some diseases will spread such as malaria carried by mosquitoes and ecosystem will change some species will move farther north or become more successful; others won’t be able to move and could become extinct. It’s our responsibility to save our mother nature from negative consequences of global warming. What step(s) are you take today to reduce global warming? Let us all be responsible in making our planet a better place to live. Mother nature do not need us to survive, we need it to survive!!!

Why do Strong women settle for lesser men?

Most of us know that one smart, strong, confident and eloquent girlfriend or relative who is dating or married to someone not even half her match. We all notice how the man is taking her for granted and constantly wonder why she would stoop that low for a man.
So here's my short analogy of it: A woman can not just be whatever the hell she wants to be, she must also be everything that society expects of her. We are told directly or indirectly at an early age that men give us value, that the epitome of being a woman is finding a husband and starting a family together. And for every man who touches you, he takes away a bit of your worth.
Therefore the woman grows up with a million rules to go by. She can not be assertive without fear of being bossy, she can not be confident without fear of being labelled stuck up, she can't have high standards without fear of being demanding, she can not experiment without fear of being labelled a slut, she can not be suspicious without fear of being called "crazy", heck she can not even be alone without people finding reasons why she hasn't found the man.
The pressure to be the perfect woman coupled with the idea that another man may not want to be with her because she gave every bit of her value to another man creates an environment where even a strong woman may become insecure and give endless chances to the wrong man. And once a man puts a crack on her self esteem, she constantly finds herself trying to prove to him that she is worth it. It's not that she doesn't know her own worth, she just feels that she has to convince him of her worth too. Once she's reached that stage, it's easy for her to be tricked into thinking that its better to give one unworthy man 100 chances than date 100 men until she finds the one. Heard of that phrase "No man is perfect...?" Yes, that's it!

POSITIVE BELIEVING

Work hard for what you want because it won't come to you without a fight. You have to be strong and courageous and know that you can do anything you put your mind to. If somebody puts you down or criticizes you, just keep on believing in yourself and turn it into something positive. Failure will never overtake you if your determination to succeed is strong enough.

Before

first seek to understand than to be understood.
before you act, listen
before you react, think
before you spend, earn
before you criticize, wait
before you pray, forgive
before you quit, try.Good night friends

RESPECT

In an organisation, there are different positions and very many different people who take these positions. In order for us to work together we have to respect one another. There is a hierachy of authority and I believe it should not mattter whether it is a woman or a younger person who you are reporting to. This is discrimination of the highest order and I don't think there will be smooth running of events. This happenned to me today and I was very disappointed. I am not very good at arguing and so I had to walk away. What do you do when somebody disrespects because of your age and gender?

My future husband

They, the other men, have been so curious.Arrogantly confident of winning a woman, they tasted defeat in my courtyard and were never let in!I admit some of them were kingly in appearance with the radiance of diamond and the sweetness of apple. They stood before me with royal gait holding baskets of inducements. But my heart was chained to you,the shackles they couldn’t break the unseen shackles that crisscross over my mind, my body, my thoughts, my soul:soft like wool, blowing gently like breeze, thrilling me with fascination for you;thorny for those who dare intrude.
