I have been a victim of not finishing some projects that I start, some where along the way the enthusiasm just dies and I can never seem to find it one month after setting the new goal. I try I swear I try to get the excitement back but I just find myself trying to set new goals over and again with the hope that I will be able to smash them all but there are some goals that slip away. I know I need to fight what I truly want to achieve or rather be stuck on the same cycle of life of wondering why I can never seem to get some stuff finished. I envy those people who have already decided what they want to do with their lives , do they wake up with excitement every day while I wake up wondering how short the night was or how the morning is so cold or how I do not have anything to eat for breakfast or my favorite trying to calculate how many more minutes of sleep can I add. The truth is I want to become like them but with various attempts I have learned that it actually takes effort where I have to literally throw away the blankets and do all the things I have planned to do that day. Do guys ever have those people you look up to and feel like if you just had one day with them to see what they do differently from us so that we can be able to work on our goal and actually get to that level that they are in? Well I do have certain people who I think are actually living the life that I desire and all I have for them is respect as from my various trials and error I have learned that it takes great effort to push yourself to stick to your goal long after the thrill, excitement and joy of setting those goals is gone. My dear admired person I respect you for ignoring the loud the masses that have tried to talk you out of their dream simply because they do not understand what your goals are and the naysayers who are only good at keeping count of how many times you may have fallen or slipped and never find words to speak of your effort and success. As I write this I have nothing but love for you My Dear Admired One, maybe one day when life offers me a chance to meet you, you will be able to teach me how to become more like you and if by that time we are already on the same platform I shall buy you a drink of whatever you fancy to thank you for inspiring me even though you may have never heard of my existence until that day.
my dear it does matter how slowly you go as long as you do not stop.
ReplyDeletei mean does not
ReplyDeleteProcrastination is the thief of time. Time stops for none of us and we all have the same amount each day. People find opportunities because they were doing something along the way. Maybe a way for you to achieve your goal is if you set a reward for yourself if you pass a milestone. Being human, we all love treats so it will be an incentive when you set out a goal. As Q said, never stop. Thomas Edison discovered 9,999 ways of not making the light bulb not failures. It matters not how many times you fall, but how many times you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and continue.
ReplyDeletei am also a victim, especially being a sanguine.the only thing that helps me finish my projects its the the determination of an end product
